Burnout Big Surf Island DLC detailed

Filed under:

Criterion has posted an update about the upcoming Burnout Paradise DLC, Big Surf Island. As you may have guessed, the DLC adds an entirely new island to the world of Burnout Paradise and it features lots of new locations and things to do. For example, you can drive all the way to the top of the cylindrcal tower in the image above. Big Surf Island also hosts a construction yard which is filled with scaffolds and lots of jumps. Criterion also announced that a new vehicle will be released at the same time as Big Surf Island, a dune buggy called the Dust Storm. You can see several locations from Big Surf Island as well as the Dust Storm in the gallery below.

While a specific release date hasn't been announced -- sounds like early next year -- Criterion did announce that Big Surf Island will be premium content, though a specific price has not been revealed.

X3F Impressions: Lips review

Filed under:

Announced during E3 with the glitz and excess of a live performance by Welsh singer Duffy, it was obvious that Lips was Microsoft's attempt to create a music platform for the Xbox that would lure in the same gaming crowd as Sony's SingStar. With the promise of karaoke party fun, high tech motion controlled microphones and images of walking lips seared into our brains, we took Microsoft's Lips for a musical romp. Click towards the break to read our impressions.

Shipping this week: Scaling, scailing edition

With week after week of nothing but big releases (and a short breather last week) it looks like it's finally time to round out the big holiday gaming schedule. The biggest release this week is, without a shadow of a doubt, Prince of Persia. After the Prince took a questionable turn to the Dark Side (which followed his jaunt to the Emo Side), Ubisoft decided the entire series needed a refresh and the result is available this week. Here's hoping the Prince manages to scale those obstacles with panache and aplomb rather than falling to his death with all the grace of a stone. Here are all of this week's releases:

I hate dieing

I hate when the other team is so good that right when you respond you get killed. I do not under stand the fun in killing other players if you have no challenge. If you are a killer that kills right when the other players respond the f u. Just had a bad game!!!
